After a long wait, I seem to have quite a few events in my diary as well as nearly reaching the end of the Autumn term at both my schools and with a increasing number of lovely private pupils.
I have already performed in a ‘Ghostly Night at The Opera’ at the White Lion Inn in Dorset on Halloween. What a fabulous evening and I can’t wait to go back and sing for them on the 1st of December for the Bourton village Advent Calendar event.
After this, I am very thrilled to be singing in my home town and in my local church for a wonderful Christmas concert on Saturday the 4th of December – see here ‘Where Can We Go‘ for full details and to book tickets. This concert will raise funds for the Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home, who work to support parents with children suffering with terminal illnesses throughout the south west. A very worthy cause.
I am looking forward to a smaller scale concert at the new ‘By The Furnace Cafe’ at the Bath Aqua Glass Factory on Saturday the 12th of February. An unusual event, but it looks like great fun. Italian songs and Italian wine tasting teamed with the chance to blow your own glass! Hope I get a glass of something as it is my birthday on that day!
All in all, it is great to be back teaching face-to-face and performing. I hope this will be a new beginning for myself and all of my wonderful, talented colleagues in the music and performing arts industry. We are resilient. We will never surrender!
Take that Covid!
